
How to write a lullaby with NSLP

- Send an e-mail to nslullabyproject@gmail.com to let us know you are interested and to understand our current capacity.

- Watch the NSLP Research Webinar (below).
- After you’ve watched the video, you have the option to join The Lullaby Project with or without participation in the research.
- You can indicate your interest in research participation through the Google Form provided here.
- You will receive two Docusign links by e-mail for different consents:
- NSLP Study Consent – indicating your understanding and participation in the research
- NSLP Consent 2025 – indicating your understanding of NSLP agreements and designating your preferences regarding images
- When the consents are complete, lullaby writing sessions will be scheduled either in person (at Beyond Birthing in North Beverly) or on Zoom.
- You will be prompted to complete a pre-study questionnaire (7-10 minutes).
- Three, sixty minute Lullaby Writing Sessions will be conducted
- Before Sessions 1-3: pre-session reflection (1-2 minutes)
- End of Session 1 & 2: post-session reflection (1-2 minutes)
- End of Session 3: lullaby is recorded and embedded into teddy bear
- End of Session 3 (for research participants): teddy bear is enhanced to track number of plays by button push. $50 compensation
- Experimental post-study questionnaire (7-10 minutes)
- In-person check in at Beyond Birthing, 1 month post lullaby writing. Researcher downloads data and provides new SD card. $50 compensation
- You will be invited to continue participating by returning to Beyond Birthing every month for the next year. Researchers will download the data for that month and perform any needed repairs on the bears. This participation will be volunteer-based, so there will be no further compensation.
